One Of Our Ghost Story Picks...
By Sara Combs,Tenn...
When I was a little girl I use to wake up sometimes in the middle of the night not really knowing why but like most 8
year olds I did,I was always scared to sleep in pitch darkness so my mom left a nightlight on over across the room,it was
good that it wasn't pitch dark but it cast shadows on the walls and I always feared they were ghosts, but one night I saw something
that was a ghost or something anyway,it was very short like a small person standing by my dresser looking at my
dolls, the scary part is there were only 3 people in my house and that was me and my very tall parents,I covered up my
head when he turned around too look at me and I yelled for my mother, she came into the room and asked me what was wrong I
told her about the little short man standing across the room and she looked everywhere in my closet too and she never found
anybody and told me to go back to sleep for I was only dreaming, the next morning I got up and was getting dressed and i noticed
something brown laying under my dresser,I bent down and picked it up,it was the smallest glove I had ever seen and old looking,I
grew up and too this day I wonder what I had really seen that night and never again did he come back, was he a ghost? a elf?
a demon? I will never know I guess.

cherie Thank you!!
Hi Gabby, Cherie in St. Louis. I actually have two things so will share
both,
you can use either one or both if good enough...
When I was about 8 or 9 my family went to a pig roast out in the country at a
friend's house. This was their "summer place" at the time and just had a mobile home on it and an old abandoned
farmhouse that was scheduled to be torn down. There were a lot of people there, all milling about, sitting in lawnchairs,
talking, probably 50-75 people. I was drawn to the old farmhouse and went inside alone. It was a small house,
maybe only 4 rooms or so, with a fireplace in the center and absolutely no furniture except for an old dusty piano.
I sat down and started playing the piano (chopsticks probably!!). Suddenly a man was standing there in the doorway watching
me and he was very angry. "What are you doing in my house!" I was scared to death and ran out. It was only
after I became an adult and thought back to this episode that I realized it wasn't a normal thing...First of all, I knew the
people that owned the property and this man wasn't one of them. Secondly, it was a hot summer day and he was in a full
pinstriped suit and had a hat on. (Men in the 70's didn't wear hats anymore!) He was dressed like men dressed
in the 40's or 50's. The last thing that I remember was how pale and ashen his skin was....I'm fairly certain that this
was a ghostly encounter!
Second story is about a house that I lived in...It was me and my husband's first
house and we loved it. It was three stories, built in 1898. Huge rooms, tall ceilings, stained glass. Crummy
neighborhood, but we didn't care! Odd things started happening right away, but it was usually when I was in the house
alone. Lights would turn off and on. My radio would change stations (not fade in and out, but actually go from
station to station). Another time my TV kept going off and on. I would miss objects and then find them a day or
two later in another part of the house. On a couple of occasions I heard a music box playing. Whenever I would
tell my husband about these things, he would just laugh and shake his head! I was getting angry! haha. Until
finally, finally, one day something happened to him! He went into the bathroom and found a drawer to the vanity open
and several bars of soap laying on the floor (I stored the unused soap in the drawer). He figured I had done it, picked
up the soap and put it back in the drawer and closed the drawer. He left, then went back in 5 or so minutes later....The
soap was BACK on the floor, but the drawer was closed!!! We were the only people living in the house at the time and
no one else was there. After a couple years things quieted down. I learned some history on the house, that
it had been used as a boarding house for years, from the 40's through the 70's, so alot of people had come and gone.
In the 80's just the elderly woman lived there that had run the boarding house all those years and there was a fire on the
first floor. All of this I was able to substantiate through several interviews and old records (Plus the old burned
pocket doors in the garage!). The one story I couldn't substantiate was that the woman had died in the house in the
fire. The other thing about the house was that all the rooms were cheery except one. I don't know why, but I hated
being in that room; it had a suffocating feeling. Several people told me over the years that they felt uncomfortable
in there too and I had not told them anything about the house!
Oh I'm gabby too! Feel free to edit any of this,
Cherie

Going To Be Adding More Soon
The Dark Man
This Ghost Story is about a man/beast/devil,He dresses all in black with a hood attached,He
walks the hallways of the big house on the hill,he has red eyes, and claws for finger nails,he makes you hold your breath and
close your eyes so tight they hurt,he is death and you know it.
I have seen this Dark Man several times and I fear him,for he has scared a many of people
to death, alot of people have died of heart attacks in this huge house on the hill, including my father,I beleive they were
scared by him so badly that they had heart attacks.
Theres nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night and this dark beast/devil
man is standing so close to your bed you can feel his presence, you look up and he's starring down at you with eyes as red
as hot coals, you throw the blanket over your head, hold your breath until you think you will die, decide to take a peak see
if hes gone, remove the blanket slowly and "HE'S STILL THERE".
You then decide no matter what you will go back under the covers and will not come back out
until it's daylight and he goes back to hell until night time again.
You hold your breath, and you either pass out or fall to sleep, you awake the next morning, alive;was
it all a dream?or was it real, you find out that night and every night for as long as you live in that haunted house
on the hill....Gabby the Ghost Hunter..
